So don't go to the store and purchase harsh chemicals to clean your floors. Below are some good examples of using everyday items to clean your floors.
Vinegar helps in removing grease, put a few drops in your bucket of cleaning water. It will help remove greasy film off linolem, try one half cup of white vinegar with one half gallon of water.
Wood Floors: Vegetable oil and vinegar, a ratio of one to one of the oil and vinegar. Apply it in a thin coating and rub it in real well.
Brick or Stone Floor: Mix one cup white vinegar with one gallon water, use a brush and wash the floor with the solution. Rinse.
Linoleum: Rubbing Alcohol (not the green kind), three (water) to one (alcohol) ratio. This solution helps to remove old dingy wax from your floor. Scrub and rinse well.
Black Heel Marks: Some people use an eraser to remove the heel marks but baking soda works well too. Add a little water to the soda to make a paste and with a little muscle, rub it on the heel marks, will disappear immediately.
Ceramic Tiles: One fourth cup of white vinegar to one gallon on water. This solution removes most of the dirt with very little scrubbing.
